Jordan: 12th group of Gaza child patients arrives in Jordan for medical treatment
Storyline: A group of 14 sick children from the Gaza Strip arrived in Jordan on Monday for medical treatment, marking the 12th such evacuation under a humanitarian medical corridor initiative launched earlier this year. The children, accompanied by 38 family members, were transported to Jordan with the assistance of the Jordanian Armed Forces. They are set to receive medical care which is not available in the war-torn enclave. "I hope my daughter can receive treatment and return home safely. We are deeply grateful to Jordan for its assistance and support. We also hope the war in Gaza can end as soon as possible so that everything can get back to normal," Kirouz Abu Ghadi, a mother from Gaza told China Central Television, as she waited with her child and others for the much-needed help. Patients and their families will be sent back to Gaza once their medical treatment is complete, making space for subsequent groups of children in need of care. Since the "Jordan Gaza Medical Corridor" initiative was launched in March, more than 200 Gazan children have been transferred to Jordan via land and air routes. Jordan's King Abdullah II announced in February the country's readiness to receive up to 2,000 Palestinian children from Gaza for treatment. Shotlist: Amman, Jordan - Sept 29, 2025: 1.
