Police break up fight between drugs war madman Duterte supporters at The Hague
Dutch police intervened as fighting broke out among supporters of Philippine drug war madman Rodrigo Duterte at The Hague.
The clash erupted when rivalling factions of Duterte loyalists met at the infamous 'Duterte Street' near the International Criminal Court prison on September 30.
Both sides were heard furiously cursing at each other before cops arrived at the scene.
Footage shows officers speaking with a protester.
The protester says: 'There was an argument, it was verbal, and afterwards it escalated. They were verbally fighting, and then all of a sudden, the husband wanted to protect his wife. So he jumped on him, pushed him and punched him, and now his hand is sprained.'
The cop then ordered the groups to break apart and end the fighting.
The two camps had also previously clashed in August, exposing what political experts said was a deepening rift among Duterte supporters.
Both fights occurred at the infamous Duterte Street near the International Criminal Court (ICC) Detention Centre, where the rowdy protesters were banished by police following complaints from the residents.
The space is a cordoned-off side street enclosed by metal barriers. The loyalists were reported to meet there nearly every day ,demanding the freedom of the tyrannical Filipino former president.
Rodrigo Duterte, 80, was surrendered to the International Criminal Court in March on charges of crimes against humanity for his notorious drugs war which saw more than 12,000 deaths. Human rights groups said the alleged extrajudicial executions reached up to 30,000
He is being held at the ICC Detention Centre pending pre-trial hearings. His lawyers and family, including incumbent Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte, have raised concerns about his health and the legality of his arrest.
