Discord Says ID Photos Of 70,000 Users May Have Been Leaked. Discord, the messaging platform popular with gamers, has reported a potential leak of official ID photos for around 70,000 users following a cyber-attack. The company confirmed that its own systems were not breached; instead, hackers targeted a third-party firm responsible for verifying users’ ages. The leaked data may include personal information, partial credit card details, and messages exchanged with Discord’s customer support team. No full credit card details, passwords, or wider user activity were affected, the company said. All impacted users have been contacted, and Discord is working with law enforcement to investigate. The platform has revoked the third-party provider’s access to its systems. A representative from Zendesk, the customer service software used by Discord, said its systems were not compromised and that the breach did not originate from its platform.
