Harry Potter, Warner bros,, first time spotted, lead actors at Kynance Cove, Cornwall, UK

Warner bros discovery HBO, new series, filming at Kynance Cove, Cornwall. John lithgow as Dumbeldore with flowing beard. And first time spotted new actors. Seen here, unconfirmed as Luke Thallon with prosthetic nose as Quirinus Quirell, and Sarah Miles as a female lead.In addition to the three leads (McLaughlin, Stanton, and Stout), the cast is rounded out by a litany of industry veterans.

John Lithgow was chosen to star as Albus Dumbledore. Lithgow talked about the casting process to ScreenRant, saying, “Well, it came as a total surprise to me. I just got the phone call up at the Sundance Film Festival for yet another film, and it was not an easy decision because it’s going to define me for the last chapter of my life, I’m afraid. But I’m very excited. Some wonderful people are turning their attention back to Harry Potter. That’s why it’s been such a hard decision. I’ll be about 87 years old at the wrap party, but I’ve said yes.”

HBO has also confirmed that Nick Frost is being tapped to star as Rubeus Hagrid, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirrell, and Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch.
Meanwhile, Bel Powley and Daniel Rigby were chosen to star as Harry’s Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon Dursley, along with Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, and Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge. Lastly, HBO Max announced Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.
In August, HBO announced casting for the other Weasley siblings: Tristan Harland as Fred Weasley, Gabriel Harland as George Weasley, Ruari Spooner as Percy Weasley, and Gracie Cochrane as Ginny Weasley.
