After a brief one-day breather following days of wet weather, a new round of rain dampened vast areas of north China's Hebei Province on Sunday. Steady rain quickly slickened roads in the provincial capital, Shijiazhuang, while heavier falls were recorded in major cities including Hengshui, Xingtai and Handan. Slippery roads and waterlogging sections forced traffic police to deploy extra patrols at key areas, including interchanges and freeway service areas. The provincial meteorological center says the rainy weather will start to ease off by Sunday night. Days of consistent rains had already brought a 3,000-cubic meter rock-and-mud slide onto a national highway in Hebei's Huailai County on Friday. Officials estimate traffic will resume by Monday afternoon. Shotlist: Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, north China - Oct 12, 2025: 1. Various of wet roads, traffic, traffic police; 2.
