Guatemala: Small Plane Crash Leaves Three Dead in Guatemala
Tecpán Guatemala, Guatemala - October 14, 2025 A small plane operating a local flight in Guatemala crashed on Tuesday, killing all three occupants in a rural town west of the Central American country's capital. Firefighters confirmed the accident and said that upon arriving at the village of Xesajcap II, in the municipality of Tecpán in the department of Chimaltenango, west of the Guatemalan capital, they found the charred bodies of three people. The Guatemalan Aeronautical Directorate said that, according to the flight plan filed by the crew of the private plane TG-DJE, the aircraft took off from La Aurora International Airport in the capital and was headed to the department of Huehuetenango, on the border with Mexico. It was flown by pilots Carlos Javier García Villatoro and Franklin Alexander Francisco Santos.
