Volkswagen Touareg Final Edition Bids Farewell to The Luxury SUV. Volkswagen has confirmed the end of the Touareg, its flagship SUV, after more than two decades and 1.2 million units sold since 2002. The so-called “poor man’s” Audi Q7 will retire in late March 2026, when order books officially close. Before it departs, VW will offer a Final Edition, featuring laser-engraved “Final Edition” lettering on the C-pillars and embossed leather inside the cabin. Available across all trims, the Final Edition is priced at €75,025 in Germany, before options. While this marks the conclusion of the Touareg combustion engine model, VW hints the nameplate could return in the future. Fans have until March 2026 to secure this final version and own a piece of the SUV’s history before it disappears from the lineup.
