On October 17, 2025, in Nizhnekamsk, Russia, security footage captured a violent incident at a local café in the Shatlyk area. In the video, two men entered a shawarma shop called Brothers to get food. Moments later, one of the intoxicated customers suddenly pulled out an air pistol and began shooting at the woman working behind the register, who was startled and tried to take cover.
The two men fled the scene after the shooting but were soon detained by law enforcement officers. The primary suspect was taken in for questioning, and authorities are determining whether to open a criminal case. The victim sustained injuries and required medical treatment; the pellets were successfully removed.
