China: Denmark's largest industrial group expands investment in China
Storyline: Denmark's largest industrial group expands investment in China [Voice_over] Over the past two decades, Danfoss, Denmark's largest industrial group, has steadily increased its investment into east China's Haiyan County thanks in part to a stable investment climate and efficient government services. A newly built industrial park that opened in mid-October, marks the group's tenth round of investment in Haiyan. During construction, Danfoss maintained rigorous standards for the center's architectural design, and civil and electric engineering. Local Haiyan builders were up for the challenge. [Sound_bite] Shen Wenhua, officer, Haiyan County: "We built a strong team that worked together like a well-coordinated unit. Initially, we held video conferences once a week but later increased that to twice a week. With a permanent team on-site and video conferences, we can effectively address various professional issues." [Voice_over] Local authorities, meanwhile, provided support for the company's operations through incentives like access to clean energy to power their facility. [Sound_bite] Cao Weiyi, director, Haiyan County Bureau of Commerce: "We assisted Danfoss in signing agreements with green power suppliers for green electricity procurement to develop the second industrial park, creating planning space for the company's growth over the next 20 years." [Voice_over] Danfoss says the 372 million U.S. dollar facility will integrate innovative and energy-saving technologies with smart operations. [Restrictions : No access Chinese mainland]
