Phoenix, United States - November 02, 2025 11/02/2025 01:06 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies and officers with the Phoenix Police Department's Airport Bureau, along with the Phoenix Fire Department, responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash at the south entrance to the Terminal 3 baggage claim early Sunday morning. According to Robert Stant, who was waiting for his flight at the baggage claim, he heard a loud explosion before looking up and seeing a fireball as the car rolled over in front of him. MCSO deputies utilized a fire extinguisher to put out the fire. At least two occupants were in the vehicle at the time of the collision, both of whom were seen in handcuffs before they were transported to a local area hospital by Phoenix FD personnel. According to the Phoenix Police Department's Airport Bureau, MCSO is handling the investigation because the vehicle was involved in an incident within the Sheriff's Department's jurisdiction before the crash.
