1. VARIOUS OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS DESTROYED IN ISRAEL’S ATTACKS ON GAZA STRIP / DEBRIS OF COLLAPSED SCHOOL BUILDINGS GAZA, PALESTINE - NOV. 2, 2025: Recent footage from the Gaza Strip shows that Israeli airstrikes have leveled numerous schools, underscoring the severe impact of the conflict on the territory’s education sector.

According to a statement from Gaza’s Media Office, Israel has directly targeted 622 school buildings, accounting for around 80% of all schools in the region.

A total of 163 schools, universities, and educational institutions were completely destroyed, while 388 were partially damaged, and 70 percent of the schools used to shelter forcibly displaced Palestinians also suffered damage in the Israeli attacks, according to the statement.

At least 13,500 students, 830 teachers and educational staff, and 193 scholars, academics, and researchers were killed in the Israeli attacks, the statement added.

The hardest-hit areas include northern Gaza and Rafah, it noted.

Israel has killed close to 69,000 people, mostly women and children, and injured over 170,000 others in attacks in Gaza since October 2023.

A ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was reached on Oct. 10, based on a 20-point peace plan proposed by US President Donald Trump. Israel, however, has violated the truce multiple times.
