Trump at vacation home again? Air Force One in Florida for 13th visit this term
Air Force One was filmed taking off moments after President Donald Trump's motorcade arrived from West Palm Beach, Florida, suggesting the president is on his 13th visit to his Palm Beach holiday home since the start of his second term.
The video captured on Sunday at Palm Beach International Airport shows Trump's plane taxiing down the runway before taking off into the evening sky.
Reports said yesterday Trump is expected to visit his Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach from November 7 to 9, in a trip which would mark his 13th visit to Palm Beach since the start of his second term.
Trump also is scheduled to speak at a business forum in Miami today (5) reports said, and will be back in Palm Beach from November 7 to 9 according to a new notice from the Federal Aviation Administration.
Mark Boisvert, 46, a lead draftsman and product designer from Ocala, was driving home with his family when he noticed authorities blocking off Southern Boulevard, also known as Donald Trump Boulevard, on Sunday.
"I said, 'Okay, well I'm going to check this out and see if we could see the president,'" Boisvert said."
After watching the motorcade pass through, Boisvert encountered a fellow spectator who provided crucial intelligence about the President's travel plans.
"A lady standing next to me said that according to a Trump Tracker app that she had, he was to take off at 5:25pm," he said."
Boisvert and his family quickly relocated to get a better vantage point.
"We left where we were on Southern Boulevard and drove up the street a little bit to a parking lot on Australian Avenue," he said. "
From there, he was able to position himself at the end of the runway to capture video footage of the presidential aircraft.
"I was able to walk to the end of the runway at Palm Beach International Airport and film Air Force One taxiing and taking off," Boisvert said."
Despite the high-profile nature of a presidential departure, Boisvert was surprised by the relatively small crowd of onlookers.
When asked about the turnout, he said there were "surprisingly not" many people there to witness the historic aircraft in action."
The experience left a lasting impression on the Florida resident, who expressed admiration for the technological marvel regardless of politics.
"I thought it was pretty awesome," Boisvert said. "Regardless of who the President is, it's one of the most technologically advanced aircraft in the world."
He added: "It's a flying White House."
Reflecting on the entire experience, Boisvert summed up his Sunday afternoon with characteristic enthusiasm.
He said: "It was just a Trump-tastic afternoon."
