WASHINGTON DC, US (RELEASED ON NOV. 7, 2025) (USERS MUST CREDIT "KAZAKH PRESIDENCY" HANDOUT, MUST NOT OBSCURE LOGO — EDITORIAL USE ONLY) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with his US counterpart Donald Trump at the White House on Thursday, Nov. 6, with both leaders highlighting a significant deepening of bilateral ties and major new commercial agreements.
In a statement, President Tokayev’s press office said the leaders discussed prospects for deepening the Enhanced Strategic Partnership between the two nations and welcomed commercial agreements worth over $17 billion signed during the visit.
“The United States is the largest investor in our economy, with over $100 billion invested,” Tokayev was quoted as saying during the meeting. “During my visit alone, our businesses are concluding deals worth over $17 billion.”
President Tokayev also praised what he termed Trump’s "bold policy" and expressed support for the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) initiative.
The Kazakh leader further highlighted the robust economic links, noting that Kazakhstan supplies about 25% of America’s uranium demand for its nuclear power plants and hosts more than 600 US companies.
In a significant diplomatic development, President Trump announced that Kazakhstan had formally joined the Abraham Accords, a series of agreements normalizing relations between Israel and several Arab nations.
Trump called Kazakhstan’s move “a tremendous honor” and “a sign of deeper friendship with the United States.”
