4. VARIOUS OF DEMONSTRATORS MARCHING, CHANTING SLOGANS, MOURNING TOGETHER SKOPJE, NORTH MACEDONIA - NOV. 15: Demonstrators gathered in the North Macedonian capital Skopje to commemorate the 63 people who lost their lives in a nightclub fire in the eastern city of Kocani on March 16.

The "Who is next?" initiative and the "March 16, 2025" Association, established by the victims' families, led the march.

Protesters gathered at Macedonia Square and marched first to the North Macedonia Assembly and then to the Skopje Criminal Court, carrying various banners and photographs of victims.

Following a moment of silence, relatives of those who died in the fire were overcome with emotion during the march.

Natalija Gjorgjieska, the wife of Andrej, a member of the DNK group that performed at the club, made a statement in front of the Assembly building.

Gjorgjieska stated that they demand justice and a guarantee that no other family will have to endure what they have experienced, adding they do not seek pity or sympathy.

The trial regarding the fire is set to begin on November 19 at the court in the Idrizovo Penitentiary Institution.

The incident, which killed 63 people and injured over 200, broke out at the Kocani nightclub at 3:00 a.m. local time on March 16, after pyrotechnic substances caused the fire.
