GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - NOV. 15: The Gaza Municipality launched a symbolic campaign on Saturday, Nov. 15, named "We Will Rebuild It Again," calling for the reconstruction of the city following the recent conflict.

The event saw participation from civil society organizations, the Chamber of Commerce, and volunteers from all age groups. Activities included cleaning main streets, removing rubble, and planting trees in heavily damaged areas.

Gaza Mayor Yahya Al-Sarraj told Anadolu that the campaign aims to send a message of resilience and hope. "The people of Gaza remain; they have not abandoned their city," he said.

He emphasized that the campaign is a symbolic effort to mobilize community participation and draw international attention to the urgent need for reconstruction.

Al-Sarraj called on international organizations and the world to pressure Israel to allow reconstruction materials into the Gaza Strip without restrictions.

He stressed the critical need to rebuild infrastructure and provide adequate shelters for residents.

“The people of Gaza must live with dignity and honor, and this is what we request from the international community, which has delayed aid to the residents of Gaza,” the mayor added.

According to the Gaza government media office, the conflict destroyed 90% of the civil infrastructure. UN estimates put the cost of rebuilding at around $70 billion, with an Arab-Islamic reconstruction plan estimated at $53 billion over five years.
