Storyline: Israeli forces have launched multiple airstrikes across the Gaza Strip since Tuesday morning, killing 25 civilians and injuring 79 others, the Palestinian official news agency reported, citing local health authorities. Multiple sites in Gaza City were hit, leaving 12 people dead, including two women and three children. In Al Mawasi in western Khan Younis, Israeli strikes hit facilities linked to the U.N. Relief and Works Agency, killing four and causing several injuries. Another Israeli attack in southern Khan Younis killed three, including two children. The Israeli army said the strikes in Al Mawasi were carried out in response to sniper fire against its forces in southern Gaza, though no casualties were reported. The Israeli forces said that airstrikes were conducted on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip after gunmen opened fire at soldiers in Khan Younis. Hamas said the attacks are a dangerous escalation since the first phase of the ceasefire agreement took effect while accusing Israel of attempting to resume genocidal actions against the Palestinian people. Hamas also denied Israeli claims of gunfire against its troops. It said more than 300 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire began, accusing Israel of continuing house demolitions and closing the Rafah crossing. It urged the ceasefire's guarantors -- the United States, Egypt, Qatar and Turkey -- to fulfill their obligation and press Israel to halt actions undermining the agreement. Also on Wednesday, the Israeli military said that it struck Hezbollah's weapons storage facilities in several towns in southern Lebanon. Thirteen people were killed and several more wounded when an Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle inside the densely populated Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp on Tuesday evening, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. Lebanese media reported that the attack targeted a playground and a parking lot inside the camp, near the Khalid ibn al-Walid Mosque. The Israeli army said the strike was against a "Hamas training center," which was used to plan operations against Israel from the camp. However, Hamas said it does not have training facilities in Lebanon's refugee camps. It also said the attack hit an open sports field frequented by children, describing it as a "horrific massacre of civilians." The strike has sparked outrage across Lebanon, with political groups condemning it as a violation of sovereignty and a dangerous escalation of regional tensions. The Palestine Liberation Organization in Lebanon denounced it as a "criminal massacre." In protest, many camp residents across Lebanon staged a general strike on Wednesday, in solidarity with the victims. The strike comes as the first anniversary of the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire agreement approaches. That ended a year of cross border fighting between Israel and Hezbollah forces, which began when Hezbollah launched rockets and artillery against Israeli positions following Hamas's attacks on Oct 7, 2023.
