Los Angeles, United States - November 21, 2025 11/21/2025 03:33 pm GMT-0800 Winnetka One person was killed after a large tree toppled over and fell onto a vehicle in the San Fernando Valley Friday. Los Angeles Fire Department crews responded to a neighborhood on the 7300 block of Mason Avenue in Winnetka just after 3:30 p.m. A large tree had fallen onto two vehicles, one of which was occupied, authorities said. A Nissan SUV was completely crushed by the fallen tree and crews removed the driver's side door to extricate the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Roads near Mason Avenue and Valerio Street have been shut down for several blocks as crews work to remove the tree and clear the scene. The victim's identity was not released.
