A man has revealed the paw-fect little helper who joins him on the job -

a two-year-old cocker spaniel who can fetch tools on cue like a seasoned apprentice.

Jenson Smith, 23, filmed the clever pup sprinting across the room to grab a pair of snips the moment he was asked, delivering them straight into his hands with tail-wagging pride.

Koda was adopted as a puppy and is currently being trained as a gun dog - the kind traditionally used by hunters to retrieve game.

But the bright-eyed spaniel has taken those retrieval skills to a whole new level, turning his talents to more domestic duties.

Not only does he fetch Jenson's electrician tools, he also lends a paw to Jenson's mum by collecting her gardening gear too.

Jenson, an agricultural electrical engineer from North Frodingham, Yorkshire, said: "He's more than useful, he's a best friend."

"Koda is an in-training gun dog and he knows lots of tricks. He can retrieve all sorts of things."

"He doesn't quite know every tool by name yet, but he'll always go after whatever you've put down for him."
