This is the amazing moment a tourist came face-to-face with a massive whale shark off the coast of Cebu, Philippines.

The clip, filmed on January 9, 2026, shows the ocean giant gliding effortlessly through the turquoise waters while Korina Alevrogianni, 28, floats alongside in awe.

Korina, from Athens, Greece, said: "It was a unique experience swimming with a legendary fish. "

"We even interacted a bit by accident. "

"It felt very special and not at all risky. Whale sharks don't pay any attention to humans."

Korina admits that although she initially expected to feel nervous, the reality was quite different.

She said: "I'm a very adventurous person and I love traveling."

"Even though I thought it would make me feel nervous, it was completely magical."
