Afrin, Syria - November 25, 2025 The Internal Security Directorate in Aleppo Governorate, working alongside the General Intelligence Directorate, has launched a targeted security operation in the Afrin area. The campaign aims to dismantle ISIS-linked cells accused of planning and conducting hostile activities that threaten civilian safety and regional stability. According to security sources, the operation focuses on identifying and raiding safe houses, communication hubs, and logistical networks used by ISIS operatives. Meanwhile, violent clashes erupted in Al-Badrousiya between Public Security forces and members of the former regime. Local reports indicate several injuries, and a group of former regime affiliates — including ex-officers — has been surrounded as security forces attempt to regain full control of the area.
