A raging dust devil tornado whipped across a dry farm field in Thailand.

Footage shows the brown dirt being swept up in a vortex near a farmer and his dog, who was seen running away from it in Prachinburi, Thailand.

The weather lasted about two minutes before gusty winds pushed it away and it disappeared.

Dust devil tornadoes are whirlwinds formed when the sun heats a patch of land, and the air above becomes warmer and rises quickly.

Cooler air then moves into the low-pressure gap the rising warm air leaves. The new drafts of cooler air also heat up and rise and the cycle continues, picking up dust and debris and making the spiral visible.

They are not as dangerous as supercell tornadoes, which can cause severe damage.
