Devastating fire ravages Wang Court in Hong Kong’s Tai Po — at least 44 dead, 279 missing
The following footage — filmed by Paul Marriot — captures the aftermath of a catastrophic blaze that tore through Wang Court in Tai Po, Hong Kong, on November 26, 2025. Plumes of thick black smoke billow from the charred high-rise towers, while scorched scaffolding and damaged exterior netting frame the scene. Viewers can spot nearby urban elements, including trees and rail infrastructure, and hear the filmer’s audible shock as he stands close to an MTR station. The fire has so far claimed 44 lives — including a firefighter — and around 279 residents remain missing, making this Hong Kong’s deadliest blaze in 63 years.
