Show Jumping Fail: Spooked Horse "Catapults" Rider After Clipping Barrier
A dramatic equestrian accident was captured during a training session in Lytkarino, Moscow Region, Russia, on April 30, 2025, recorded by Darya Timohina.
The video shows a rider approaching a low jump inside an indoor arena. As the horse leaps over the obstacle, its hind legs clip the wooden barrier, making a loud sound. Startled by the contact, the horse reacts instantly and violently, bucking its back legs high into the air.
The sudden motion acts like a catapult, launching the rider over the horse's head. She is thrown forward and lands hard on the sand arena floor while the spooked horse trots away.
