Video captured moment fireworks and flares set off at Amsterdam football stadium
Video captured the intense moment supporters set off fireworks display from at football game on Sunday (30/11).
Supporters set off flares and fireworks behind one of the goalposts at the Johan Cruyff Arena, calling off the Eredivisie football game against Groningen.
Video from either end of the arena, belonging to the Ajax football team, captured thick red smoke engulfing the stands.
When the fireworks first went off, the referee halted the game for the first five minutes.
The attempts to restart the game were met with similar scenes, and the game was officially abandoned.
Ajax have condemned the fireworks display, saying they will take action against the perpetrators.
