This is the impressive moment a pet dog was seen balancing on the back of a scooter.

John Mark Puntay and his friends spotted the white and brown Aspin standing still in the pillion seat as they navigated along a highway in Cebu, the Philippines.

Dashcam footage shows the motionless canine seemingly enjoying the ride as its owner changes lanes on November 22.

John said: 'I was honestly amazed at how it stayed steady even while moving through a busy road. Of course, it did make me think about safety too.

'I don't know the rider personally, but I hope the dog is used to riding with them and that they take precautions. It was just one of those surprising moments you don't expect to see on the road.'
