US, Los Angeles: Whittier Truck Crashes Into Backyard Driver Flees Scene
Los Angeles, United States - December 08, 2025 12/08/2025 12:32 am GMT-0800 WHITTIER, Calif.– Officials from the California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision Monday morning involving a vehicle that crashed through a fence and landed in the backyard of a residence in the 9600 block of Gunn Avenue in Whittier. The driver fled the scene in an unknown direction after the crash. The collision caused damage to the garage, while the backyard fence and a shed were destroyed. The homeowner was inside the residence at the time of the incident but was not injured. It is currently unclear whether speed or alcohol was a factor in the crash. The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
