Israel: IDF Thwarts Suspected Weapons-Smuggling Cell Near Egypt Border
Israel - December 09, 2025 The IDF reported that a suspected weapons-smuggling cell was intercepted near the Egypt border following a pursuit guided by a joint security operations center. A drone was used during the operation, which ended with the arrest of six suspects and the seizure of their vehicles. Authorities also confiscated 21 kilograms of narcotics, and the individuals are additionally suspected of involvement in weapons smuggling. The detainees were transferred to Israeli police for further investigation.
