Picassent, Spain - December 09, 2025 Firefighters successfully rescued a dog that had fallen into a well approximately 18 meters deep in a rural area of Picassent. The animal was surrounded by water, making the rescue operation particularly challenging. Teams from Bombers Valencia, including firefighters from Silla, a sergeant from Torrent, and GERA rescuers, coordinated the operation. Rescuers installed ropes and descended carefully to reach the dog. Using a specialized dog harness, they lifted the animal to safety while maintaining strict coordination with the personnel securing the area above. The dog was handed over to the local police after the owner could not be identified. Authorities praised the firefighters for their precise and skillful work.
