In Rio de Janeiro, demonstrators gathered on Copacabana Beach at Posto 5, displaying banners calling for former President Jair Bolsonaro to remain in prison and criticizing the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta.
Political figures, including lawmaker Glauber Braga, addressed the crowd, describing his suspension as political persecution and calling for continued street mobilization.
Organizers said the demonstration in Rio de Janeiro drew 18,900 participants at its peak, measured using the same methodology applied during protests in Sao Paulo.
Protesters marched with banners and posters calling for the defense of democracy.
