A territorial swan known to locals as “Papa Swan” has gone viral after nipping, poking, and tugging at a visitor’s trousers in apparent protest over his lunch. The clip, posted by @swansofhampsteadheath, has now reached 84,800 views.
According to the filmer, Papa Swan was unimpressed with the oats he was served the previous day and made his dissatisfaction very clear. “Apparently, the lunch portion of oats I served Papa Swan yesterday was unacceptable,” they wrote. “He prefers seeds.”
The video shows the swan pulling at the filmer’s pants until a second serving — seeds and corn — finally calmed him down.
