Local swan crash lands and is reunited with her mate

Nipper a young female swan was found sitting behind her pond in a spot with zero access to the water. She had been seen crashing into a tree and fallen to the ground. We thought she had injured herself as she wasn’t standing, so we waited for transport, for a check over by the swan sanctuary. Along comes a dog which immediately had her on her feet so we let her walk a few meters to show us there were no broken legs, or signs of any serious injury, although she had a slight limp it was agreed the best course of action was to get her back in the water whereby she could take the weight of her foot and let her recover in her home pond as opposed to taking her away from her mate.
She was a bit confused where she was and didn’t know how to get home - it was just a case of a pick up and drop off.

Wait till the end to see Perri’s her mates reaction when she arrives home.

She has been monitored daily since the incident and seems to be fine , back to flying around, landing fine
