Footage from East Islip shows wet, heavy snowflakes falling during Long Island’s first measurable snowfall of the season. Approximately two inches of snow had accumulated at the time of recording, with an additional one to two inches forecast. The snowfall occurred as the National Weather Service issued winter weather advisories for New York and New Jersey through Sunday afternoon, while winter storm warnings remained in effect for parts of New Jersey and southeast Pennsylvania. Snow totals across the broader region ranged from a few inches to as much as six inches.
