10. VARIOUS OF FLOODED AREA (TWO SHOTS) KIRKUK, IRAQ - DEC. 17, 2025: Severe flooding caused by heavy rainfall that began on Dec. 9 has displaced around 300 families in Iraq’s northern city of Kirkuk.

Muhammad Veyis, head of the Leylan subdistrict in Kirkuk, said heavy flooding caused by days of intense rainfall displaced around 300 families and left hundreds of homes, schools and health facilities unusable.

Across Iraq, five people, including a child, were killed due to days of uninterrupted heavy rainfall and flooding that began on Dec. 9.
