The demonstration took place ahead of the "Big Deal Comedy Fest," which also headlined comedians Modi Rosenfeld and Elon Gold. Activists lined the sidewalk along East Ida B. Wells Drive, chanting slogans and holding banners that condemned Rapaport’s vocal support for Israel amid the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.
Organizers of the protest argued that the comedian's rhetoric has been divisive and harmful. Despite the chants outside, ticket holders continued to file into the venue under the watch of a visible police presence deployed to ensure security.
