TOKYO, JAPAN - DECEMBER 20, 2025: The first leaders-level summit of the "Central Asia plus Japan" Dialogue (CA+JAD) was held in Tokyo on Saturday, Dec. 20.
The meeting was chaired by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and attended by Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon, Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedow and Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, along with ministers from each country.

The leaders are also expected to exchange views on international affairs and ways to strengthen bilateral ties.
The summit was originally scheduled to be held in Kazakhstan in August 2024 but was postponed following a mega earthquake advisory issued in Japan.
