Justice Department Removes, Then Restores Trump Photo From Epstein Files After Victims' Concerns. The US Justice Department says it temporarily removed several items from the newly released Epstein files, including a photograph showing Donald Trump, after concerns were raised by victims' groups. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the image was flagged because it appeared alongside unredacted images of women and was taken down "out of an abundance of caution" for further review. The department later said no Epstein victims were depicted, and the photo was restored without changes. At least 13 files were briefly missing from the DOJ website, prompting Democrats on the House Oversight Committee to question whether information was being covered up. Blanche rejected suggestions the move was meant to protect the president, calling the idea “laughable". The removals come amid wider criticism that the DOJ failed to fully comply with a congressional deadline to release all Epstein-related records, many of which remain heavily redacted.
