Evri driver turns Santa by dropping parcel just after midnight on Christmas Day
A delivery driver has been praised for working through the night like Santa after delivering a package to one family in the early hours of Christmas morning.
Video footage captured by 70-year-old Josie Read's Ring camera shows an Evri driver delivering a package containing a new ring to her family's doorstep at around half past midnight, before being driven off.
Josie, from Holt, Norfolk, said: "It was completely unexpected, as we weren't expecting the delivery to arrive before Christmas."
"The house was locked up and everyone was asleep when our doorbell camera alerted us, and we were surprised to see a mysterious figure wandering up the driveway."
"At that time of the morning on Christmas Day, your suspicions are naturally raised."
"It wasn't until we checked more closely that we realised it was a delivery driver scuttling away."
"Much like Santa, he'd been working through the night on Christmas Eve, and was clearly careful not to ring the bell and wake anyone up."
"Evri often gets a bad reputation, so seeing a parcel delivered just after midnight on Christmas morning was a genuine surprise."
"A ring I'd ordered for myself for a bit of extra sparkle from Amazon."
"Having an extra present waiting for me on Christmas Day made it even better."
Evri was contacted for comment.
