1. PARALAY MISSILE LAUNCHING MOMENT ODISHA, INDIA - DEC. 31, 2025: India Wednesday said it successfully conducted salvo launch of two domestically-produced surface-to-surface short-range Pralay missiles, according to a statement by Defense Ministry.

It said the country’s Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) carried out the salvo launch of the missiles in quick succession from the same launcher, off the coast of eastern province of Odisha.

“The flight-test was conducted as part of user evaluation trials. Both the missiles followed the intended trajectory meeting all flight objectives as confirmed by tracking sensors deployed by the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur,” the statement said.

Pralay is a domestically developed solid propellant quasi-ballistic missile that uses advanced guidance and navigation systems for enhanced accuracy. It is “capable of carrying multiple types of warheads against various targets.”

The tests were observed by senior DRDO scientists, representatives from the Indian Air Force and Army, as well as industry officials, including development-cum-production partners, the statement added.
