Winter Storm Ezra battered homes with heavy snow and strong winds in Buffalo

Footage shows thick snowfall covering streets, parked cars, and rooftops during the storm in New York.

Residents stayed inside their homes, while only a few vehicles were seen braving the severe weather on December 29.

Wind gusts reached up to 80 mph, causing major disruptions across the region.

Big waves of up to 30 ft (9 m) were recorded on Lake Erie, submerging nearby areas. The National Weather Service issued warnings for high winds and lakeshore flooding.

The storm, described as a bomb cyclone, extended beyond Buffalo, disrupting travel and causing power outages throughout the Great Lakes region.
