Storyline Various campaigns held to promote consumption in China [Voice_over] From dazzling light shows to innovative cultural exhibitions, Chinese tourist hubs are rolling out a wide range of activities to spur travel and spending as the year-end holiday season arrives. In northern China's Harbin, known as the country's "Ice City", a light show is held along the city's Central Avenue featuring the 2026 Chinese zodiac animal, the horse. Meanwhile, nearby ski resorts have extended their operating hours to offer night-time skiing. In southwest China's Sichuan Province, the Sanxingdui Museum has a new exhibit about Beijing's Central Axis. The strip of road in the middle of the capital city has several historic and ceremonial buildings and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. [Sound_bite] Li Lantian, tourist: "The archaeological discoveries at Sanxingdui Ruins reveal the achievements of ancient civilization in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, while the Beijing Central Axis demonstrates the outstanding wisdom in the construction of the northern capital. The differences and complementary feature of these regional cultures have deepened our understanding of the diversity of Chinese civilization." [Voice_over] In Xi'an City, an extended reality experience center lets visitors take a virtual of Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum and Terracotta Army. Officials from the center say after just three months of trial operations, the tour has attracted over 20,000 visitors.
