5. MAN SHOWING KID’S PHOTOGRAPH ON SMARTPHONE (TWO SHOTS) KHAN YOUNIS, PALESTINE - JAN. 6, 2026: A farewell was held for a 15-year-old Palestinian boy who was killed in an Israeli attack on the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday, Jan. 6.

Before burial, the body of Hamade Shadi al-Fajm was brought to the Nasser Hospital.

His father stood beside his son’s body following its recovery from under the debris.

In a statement, the Israeli military claimed the strike targeted a Hamas member who was allegedly planning an attack against its forces in southern Gaza.

Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect, the Israeli army has committed hundreds of violations, killing 422 Palestinians and wounding 1,189 others, according to the Health Ministry.

Israel’s two-year war killed nearly 71,400 Palestinians, most of them women and children, injured more than 171,200 others, and left the enclave in ruins.
