3. VARIOUS OF WARSHIPS SAILING CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA - JAN. 9: Warships from China, Russia and Iran have arrived in South Africa’s capital Cape Town on Friday (Jan. 9) for a week of naval drills.

South Africa is hosting the drill which aims to enhance regional maritime security with the participation of the navies of BRICS partners China, Russia, and Iran.

The warships from participating countries came together at Simon's Town Naval Base, South Africa's naval center.

The exercises will continue until January 16, off the coast of Cape Town and in the False Bay area.
