In a statement, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) announced that the search was conducted as part of an investigation into allegations that Tymoshenko had bribed members of parliament.

The bureau said the operation was part of a corruption investigation and confirmed that a large sum of cash was seized.
