Palestine An Israel Defense Forces transport helicopter crashed on Wednesday morning during an airlift operation near Ma'ale Amos in the Gush Etzion area. No injuries were reported. According to initial information, a Yas’ur transport helicopter was attempting to lift and transport a Yanshuf helicopter that had made an emergency landing at the site several days earlier due to a technical malfunction combined with adverse weather conditions. After attempts to repair the helicopter on the ground were unsuccessful, a decision was made to move it by air using another helicopter. During the lifting operation, the Yanshuf helicopter fell and crashed approximately 10 kilometers from the community. The incident occurred in an open area and did not result in casualties, though officials noted that the event had the potential to end in a serious disaster.
