Nevatim, Israel - January 18, 2026 Three new F-35i “Adir” fighter jets landed at Nevatim Air Base Three F-35i “Adir” fighter jets, manufactured by Lockheed Martin, landed at Nevatim Air Force Base. The aircraft will be assigned to the “Southern Lions” Squadron (116 Squadron) and the “Golden Eagle” Squadron (140 Squadron). The aircraft are emblazoned with the Air Force emblem. Since the outbreak of the war, the “Adir” formation has been operating continuously in a variety of defensive and offensive missions in all theaters of war. The acquisition of the new aircraft is another step in the continued strengthening of the “Adir” formation and a contribution to the Air Force’s operational capabilities. Israel sees the importance of the security partnership with the United States as part of its commitment to strengthening stability in the Middle East
