Kota, India - January 07, 2026 A thief attempting to break into a house in Kota, Rajasthan, got stuck in the hole of the kitchen's exhaust fan. The house was empty at the time, but a couple returning from Khatu Shyamji later discovered the man half-in, half-out of the hole. A high-voltage drama ensued for an hour, and eventually, the police managed to pull the trapped suspect out of the exhaust fan opening and take him into custody. The young man, who had entered the house with the intention of stealing, found himself stuck in such a predicament that he could neither move forward nor backward. As a result, he remained trapped for about an hour, half inside and half outside the exhaust fan opening in the kitchen. During this time, the returning couple, the neighbors, and the police were all on tenterhooks. An attempted burglary was foiled late at night in the Pratap Nagar area under the Borkheda police station in Kota city. On January 5th, at around 1 AM, a young man was attempting to break into a house with the intention of stealing, but he was caught red-handed with the help of the family and neighbors. The victim, Subhash Kumar Rawat, said that he and his wife had gone to Khatu Shyamji for darshan on January 3rd and returned home on the night of January 5th. When his wife opened the main gate and they were bringing their scooter inside, in the light of the scooter's headlight, they saw a man half-inside the house through the exhaust fan opening in the kitchen. They raised an alarm, and his accomplice fled, but the man got stuck. Hearing the commotion, the neighbors immediately woke up and came out, and the man was apprehended.
