Chilean President Gabriel Boric announced emergency measures in the Nuble region and the Biobio region, where fires have burned approximately 10,000 hectares, according to officials.

Aerial images showed widespread devastation in populated areas of the municipality of Penco, as emergency crews continued response efforts amid extensive damage to homes and infrastructure.
