Amazing footage of a husband and wife announcing to the man's dad that he is "finally going to be a grandfather" in a particularly unique way.

The video, filmed in Pennsylvania, USA in July this year, shows the couple revealing the pregnancy in the form of a "Whisper Challenge", whereby the grandfather-to-be wears a pair of headphones and has to try and read their lips.

"He was absolutely terrible [at the whisper challenge]," the filmer later wrote online.

"However, he really enjoyed the Blue Grass music in his ears."

"To say he was excited, is such an understatement," he continued, referring to his reaction once he realised what they were trying to tell him.

The couple have been together for nine years and married for three and the man's dad has apparently been bothering them to have a baby for quite some time.

This is a video of my wife and I announcing to my father that he was finally going to be a Grandfather. My wife and I have been together nearly nine years, married for three. He had really been hounding on us for the past couple of years about having a baby! We chose to give him a shot at the Whisper Challenge to announce it to him.
