Impressive footage of a huge great white shark jumping to bite bait right in front of a shark cage.

The footage, shot last week off the coast of Isla Guadalupe, Mexico, shows the shark catching the food and cutting the rope to which it was attached with its teeth.

"Notice it comes from underneath the boat and deep behind the cages where visibility is the most compromised," the filmer wrote online.

"Once it gets near the bait it goes vertical and powers straight for the bait," he added.

For the record, it did NOT swallow or ingest any part of the buoy, it was retrieved shortly thereafter. Also note how easily it cuts through the thick, braided nylon rope!
