Footage has emerged of a large fin whale washed up on Holkham Beach in Norfolk, UK.

The video, filmed on Wednesday, shows the whale which, according to the filmer, "probably died due to a ship strike, looking at the laceration on its back."

"This is a very rare cetacean to see in British waters and sad to see this magnificent animal dead," he continued.

"Experts say it is 'rare' to find this species in North Sea."
